Quality Sleep for iOS

Privacy Policy

Quality Sleep's core features run entirely on your device. The current version has no account system or developer-operated server and does not integrate advertising, third-party analytics, or cross-app tracking. The App's code does not actively or automatically send your playback, search, favorites, or device information to the Developer.

Effective date: July 13, 2026 Last updated: July 13, 2026 Version: 1.0 App identifier: com.yjp.qualitysleep
No Account No registration, login, name, phone number, or email address is required.
Local Processing Preferences and favorites are stored locally by the App; system backups may contain a copy.
No Ads or Tracking No advertising SDK, IDFA use, or cross-app tracking.
No Sale or Marketing Sharing The App does not upload personal information, so it is not sold or shared for marketing.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the current version of the Quality Sleep iOS application (Bundle ID: com.yjp.qualitysleep) provided by individual developer 甘论兵, as well as this static Privacy Policy webpage. It does not apply to products or services independently provided by Apple, the App Store, your device operating system, your browser, or other third parties.

For clarity, this Policy distinguishes between processing performed locally on your device and collection, uploading, or other processing after information leaves your device. This distinction does not alter the meaning of “personal information processing,” “personal data processing,” or “collection” under applicable law. The App reads and writes a small amount of preference information locally to restore your settings, but the Developer cannot remotely access it.

2. Who Is Responsible for Your Privacy

The App is provided by 甘论兵, an individual developer (the “Developer”). To the extent the Developer determines the purposes and means of processing, the Developer is the relevant personal information processor or data controller. The current App has no developer-operated server or account database.

For ways to contact the Developer about privacy rights, questions, or complaints, see Section 15.

3. Information Processed Locally on Your Device

To provide its core features, the App processes the following information within the App sandbox on your device:

Information Purpose Storage Remotely Accessible by Developer?
Selected scene identifier Restore your scene the next time the App opens Local UserDefaults on your device No
Scene volume Restore your selected playback volume Local UserDefaults on your device No
Background video playback setting Restore your video playback preference Local UserDefaults on your device No
List of favorite track identifiers Display your favorite content Local UserDefaults on your device No
Search terms, current playback state, and temporary selections Respond to search and playback actions during the current session Temporarily in working memory only No

The App may also read your system's preferred language and current date and time locally to provide localized interfaces and greetings. The App does not send this information to the Developer. The App does not create a sleep profile or record your actual sleep times, sleep quality, or physiological measurements.

4. Data the Current Version Does Not Actively Collect and Permissions It Does Not Request

Based on a review of the current App's features and code, the App itself does not actively or automatically collect or upload:

  • Your name, phone number, email address, identity documents, home address, or account credentials;
  • Precise or approximate location, contacts, calendars, reminders, photos, or files;
  • Microphone recordings, camera images, voice, facial data, or other biometric information;
  • HealthKit, health, fitness, sleep-monitoring, or medical data;
  • Advertising identifiers, device fingerprints, browsing history, use of other apps, or cross-app tracking data; or
  • Crash analytics, usage analytics, advertising attribution, or marketing profile data through any developer-operated or third-party SDK, because no such SDK is integrated.
The App's declared background-audio capability is used only to continue playing the App's built-in audio after the screen locks or you switch to another app. It does not activate the microphone, listen to environmental sounds, or record your voice. The current version also does not request push notification or App Tracking Transparency permission.

5. Apple, the App Store, and Device System Services

Downloads, installation, updates, device backups, and App Store services are independently provided by Apple. Apple may process Apple ID, device, download, diagnostic, payment, or transaction information under its own policies; the App does not control that processing. Please see the Apple Privacy Policy.

Device Backups

The App does not actively use iCloud or CloudKit to synchronize preferences. Depending on your iOS and iCloud backup settings, Apple's system-level device backups may include local preferences in the App sandbox. The Developer cannot access those backups. You can manage them in your Apple device settings.

Apple System Analytics You Choose to Share

If you enable “Share with App Developers” in iOS, Apple may provide the Developer with privacy-protected usage statistics, performance information, or crash diagnostics under Apple's policies. This information is generated through Apple's system analytics, not automatically reported by an analytics SDK integrated into the App. You can manage this choice under Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements. If the Developer receives such reports, they will be used only to diagnose issues and improve stability and security, and will be deleted or anonymized after the analysis is complete or they are no longer needed.

If the App Store Version Offers In-App Purchases

Purchases and subscriptions will be processed by Apple's StoreKit and the App Store. The Developer will not receive your full payment card information or Apple ID password. The App may receive product information, transaction status, and entitlement status locally on the device to display prices, complete purchases, restore entitlements, or provide an entry point for managing subscriptions. Without a developer-operated server, these statuses are not sent to a server operated by the Developer.

If the version you use does not enable actual App Store purchases, the processing described above will not occur.

6. Third-Party Software Components

The current project links to or includes third-party open-source components for local UI, in-app prompts or status messages, and animation effects, including PopupView, ProgressHUD, and Pow. As currently integrated, these components are not used for advertising, analytics, profiling, or network transmission of personal information.

If a future version adds a third-party SDK that processes or transmits personal information, the Developer will first update this Policy, the App Store privacy disclosures, and any required consent process, and will require the relevant third party to provide protection consistent with this Policy and applicable law.

7. Information Sharing, Sale, Advertising, and Legally Required Disclosure

  • Sharing: The current App's primary features do not upload or share personal information with the Developer or third-party servers.
  • Sale: The Developer does not sell personal information.
  • Advertising and Tracking: The App does not display third-party advertising or perform targeted advertising, cross-app tracking, or advertising measurement.
  • Public Disclosure: The App has no feature for publicly disclosing personal information.

If you contact the Developer and voluntarily provide information, it will be processed only as necessary to respond to your request, handle a dispute, or comply with legal obligations. Necessary information may be disclosed only when required by applicable law or in response to a legally binding request from a court or competent regulator.

8. This Policy Website and Information You Provide When Contacting the Developer

Static Legal Webpages

These legal webpages do not set cookies or use localStorage. The English entry page contains only an inline script that reads the browser's preferred language and the URL's lang parameter to select a language version; the script does not send or retain that language information. The pages do not embed analytics, advertising, external fonts, tracking scripts, or tracking pixels. However, when you visit a page through your browser, your network connection necessarily transmits information required to complete the HTTP request to the actual hosting server or its infrastructure provider, such as your IP address, browser identifier, request time, and requested page. This occurs as part of network access to the legal webpages and does not mean that the core Quality Sleep App collects information over the network.

The Developer will not use necessary access logs for advertising or cross-site tracking and will apply reasonable data-minimization and security measures based on the actual hosting configuration. A hosting provider acting only on the Developer's instructions will act as a processor or service provider; if it independently determines the purposes and means of processing under law, it may act as an independent controller. The precise role, log fields, server region, access controls, and retention period will depend on the actual production configuration and hosting terms.

Support Requests You Initiate

If you contact the Developer through the App Store's “App Support” link, email, or another external channel, the Developer may receive the contact address, communication content, and device or App information that you choose to provide and that is necessary to resolve the issue. The Developer will use it only to respond, troubleshoot, maintain security, handle complaints, or comply with legal obligations, and will not use it for advertising profiles or sale.

General support records are retained for no longer than 180 days after a request is resolved. If necessary to handle an unresolved complaint, dispute, or security incident or to comply with a legal obligation, records may be retained until the matter is resolved or the applicable legal period expires, after which they will be deleted or anonymized when no longer needed. Please do not include sensitive personal information unrelated to your issue in a support message.

9. Children's Privacy

The App may be used by people of all ages, but it does not request a user's age, name, or contact details and does not actively collect children's personal information. Users under 18 must use the App under the guidance of a parent or other legal guardian. Children under 14 must use the App only after their guardian has read and agreed to this Policy. That consent includes the solely on-device, non-uploaded preference processing described in Section 3.

A guardian should contact support on behalf of a child. If the Developer receives personal information of a child under 14 through an external support channel, the Developer will contact the guardian to obtain any necessary separate consent. If consent cannot be obtained and processing is not necessary to comply with a legal obligation, the information will be deleted as required by law. If a future feature needs to process children's personal information, the Developer will update this Policy and obtain a guardian's separate consent before that processing begins, as required by law.

10. Retention, Control, and Deletion

  • Local preferences—including scene, volume, video setting, and favorites—remain in the App sandbox until you change the relevant setting, remove a favorite, or select “Delete App” in iOS.
  • Search terms, current playback state, and other temporary information held only in working memory disappear when replaced or when the App process ends.
  • iOS's “Offload App” option may retain documents and data. Selecting “Delete App” will ordinarily delete the App's sandbox data on the device. Copies in system backups are managed by Apple and your backup settings.
  • Because the App has no accounts or developer-operated server, the Developer has no App account to close remotely and cannot remotely read or delete local preferences on your device.
  • Support information you voluntarily provide is handled for the periods described in Section 8.

11. Information Security

The App reduces privacy risk through data minimization, on-device processing, the absence of an account database, and the absence of advertising and analytics SDKs. Local information is protected by the iOS app sandbox, device access controls, and Apple's system security mechanisms. You should use a device passcode or biometric lock and promptly install trusted system updates.

No system can guarantee absolute security. If you suspect a security issue involving the App, please contact the Developer as described in Section 15.

12. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to be informed; access, copy, correct, or delete personal information; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; request an explanation of processing rules; or lodge a complaint.

  • For local preferences, you can change the relevant settings or remove favorites in the App, or ordinarily delete App sandbox data by selecting “Delete App” (not merely “Offload App”) in iOS.
  • Manage iCloud or device backups in your Apple device settings.
  • For support information you voluntarily provide, you may request access, correction, or deletion through the contact channel in Section 15.

The Developer will handle reasonable requests within the period required by applicable law and may verify the requester's relationship to the relevant information where necessary. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing lawfully performed on the basis of consent before withdrawal.

13. International and Cross-Border Processing

The current App does not upload personal information to a developer-operated or third-party server, so the Developer does not transfer personal information across borders through the App's primary features. Apple, the infrastructure hosting these legal webpages, or external support channels may operate in different countries or regions. When acting as processors, service providers, or independent controllers, they are respectively subject to relevant contracts, terms of service, privacy policies, and applicable law. After production deployment, the Developer will assess the actual hosting region and data flows and comply with applicable cross-border obligations.

14. Changes to This Policy

The Developer may update this Policy when the App's features, the law, or App Store rules change and will update the “Last updated” date at the top of the page. If a future version adds accounts, server synchronization, analytics, advertising, health data, notifications, online content, or other material personal information processing, the Developer will update this Policy and the App Store privacy disclosures before that processing begins, and will obtain consent through a prominent in-app notice where required by law.

The Developer will not treat continued use as a substitute for separate consent or guardian consent where the law expressly requires it.

15. Contact Us

If you have questions, complaints, or requests concerning this Policy, the App's privacy practices, or your rights, contact the Developer through the “App Support” link on the App's App Store product page.
